POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Managing Director partners closely with the CEO to chart and implement EnviroVoters' strategic response to organizational opportunities and challenges, and this leader plays a critical role as advisor and strategic thought-partner for the CEO. The Managing Director also works to create deep engagement, learning, collaboration, and planning from EnviroVoters staff and board members and to resolve day-to-day operational issues before they reach the CEO.

The Managing Director plays a critical role in developing the organization’s culture and operations, including oversight of human resources, operations (including IT and facilities), administration, financial management, and organization development.

The right candidate will be a values-driven, mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process- minded leader with experience developing an inspired culture focused on equity, collaboration, and continuous improvement among a group of diverse, talented individuals. The candidate must have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to tap into the power that each member of the team brings to EnviroVoters' mission; this is ultimately a role that drives internal operations to ensure each team member can thrive. As our organizations are growing and scaling exponentially, we need a thoughtful, calm, and focused leader stewarding our team, culture, and operations to grow sustainably and equitably. The role requires significant independence & initiative, analytical skills, strong relationship & trust building, ample people and project management experience, flexibility, agility, emotional intelligence, and discretion.

Supervisory: Oversees a growing team of four and multiple contractors, with the Finance Director and Human Resources and Administration Senior Manager as direct reports.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Managing Director serves on the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for managing and driving the daily operations and internal coordination of EnviroVoters in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer.

Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 per year dependent on experience and qualifications.

GRANTS MANAGER

Title: Grants Manager

Reports to: Philanthropy Director

Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 DOE

Opportunity

As a key member of the Philanthropy Team, this position helps EnviroVoters secure new grants for funding and renew existing grantors to meet its annual fundraising goal. The Grants Manager reports to the Philanthropy Director and leads the creative development of compelling funding proposals that reflect the work, programs and values of EnviroVoters, research and apply for funding opportunities, cultivate and deepen relationships with grantors as appropriate, and ensure foundation deadlines are met and reports are submitted and payments are received on schedule.

Objective of this Role

The Grants Manager is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals that support organizational goals and meet foundation funding guidelines and criteria. This role serves as the primary grants writer, assists in managing funder relationships and requirements, ensures and engages in reporting, and supports special project initiatives. The Grant Writer is also responsible for identifying new funding sources for programs and supporting funder cultivation and stewardship. This position requires strong creative writing skills and project management skills with an eye towards delivering outcome-based proposals. This position may take on additional creative writing projects, as directed.
